Danielle R. Drake

Attorney Lake of the Ozarks

Biography:

Danielle R. Drake earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law amid a global pandemic, graduating in May 2020.  Danielle was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September of 2020 and is a member of the 26th Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Having grown up in the beautiful and unique Lake of the Ozarks, she was honored to come back to her roots when presented with the opportunity to join the law firm of McDorman & Parks LLC in the fall of 2020.

Danielle enjoys working on cases in a wide variety of legal fields including, but not limited to, civil litigation, business planning, landlord/tenant law, property disputes, family law, and contract disputes. During law school Danielle was a captain of the UMKC School of Law Mock Trial Team and achieved the Order of the Barristers award for being one of the top 10 courtroom advocates of her graduating class.

Danielle’s family has been living in and operating businesses at Lake of the Ozarks for four generations. Thanks to her grandfather, an early pioneer of the area, who relocated their family from St. Louis to the lake area in the mid-1940s, Danielle had the opportunity to see firsthand the lake’s growth and development throughout the years. After graduating in the top 10 of her class from School of the Osage, Danielle left the lake to attend Kansas State University. She went on to earn two degrees; a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Apparel Marketing in 2013.

Returning home to the area gave Danielle the privilege to advocate within our local community for causes she is passionate about such as improving lives of children, area development, and the upward progression of our community.  She is a member of the Young Professionals at the Lake through the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce where she sits on the Membership Committee, which is an organization dedicated to the expansion and advancement of young professionals located in the lake area. Additionally, she is the newest board member of The Changing Table which is the lake area’s sole diaper bank addressing a dire need within the Lake of the Ozarks region.

In Danielle’s time outside of work she enjoys the breadth of activities Lake of the Ozarks has to offer. Most often, you can find her boating around Lake of the Ozarks and spending time with her friends, family, and two beloved labs.
